Some December Notes :)

Our Young Author, she was choosen by her 2nd grade class to present her Thanksgiving Story. We are so proud.

November Update...

On November 4th Michele and I decided to get a tattoo for each other for our 13th anniversary. Well to remember where we are from and where we got married, we decided on Blue Crabs.

I got mine on my left arm under my Yin/Yang Sun

1 Week later I finally got Lindsay's Hebrew name as I have wanted for quite some time. This was to date the longest (3 hours) and most detailed (custom) tattoo I have gotten. This is on my right arm and is a HAMSA, traditional talisman to ward off evil (evil eye) and bring good luck (koi). This is represented in both Judaism and Islam, although it pre-dates both religions in historical records.
HAMSA means 5; notice the symmetry of the hand with 2 thumbs.

Miami INK

Well on Saturday evening we went to South Beach for dinner with a friend and his family. After walking Lincoln Rd for a bit we decided to find Miami INK and see about a Tattoo. Well I can say the place was pretty cool (much smaller than on TV - MUCH MUCH SMALLER Actually). Well I didn't get a Tattoo on that night, there were too many issues, not the least of which was the time involved and the fact my daughter couldn't enter the shop (City ordinance no person's under 18). Anyway We took some pictures and enjoyed the site...BTW none of the 4 main artists were there that night.

For reference, the Tattoo I want is my daughters Hebrew name, English name and a Star of David on my arm. She was upset I decided not to get it at Miami INK (actually 305 Ink).

West Palm Beach October 26-28 2007

We went to West Palm Beach this weekend to see my Great Great Aunt, however our plans to see her were changed due to unforseen circumstances. We decided to continued with our trip and make the best of the weekend. We went to http://www.lioncountrysafari.com/, this is a drive through preserve with animals from African deer to Lions. Here is a sampling... After the driving tour we went to the walking park and were able to feed a giraffe.

This is from a Norfolk Tides baseball game in Norfolk, VA (With Aunt & Uncle) on vacation (we drove the entire 750 miles from 7:00pm to 6:30am on August 1st to 2nd.

Love Shack - 2007 Lakeland ShowStoppers Competition

The 2007 LakeLand ShowStoppers Dance Competition. The group did fantastic they won gold 1st place in the recreational division in their age group and won 7 place overall out of 19 competitors. Don't they look sassy :)!
